SAE8620 Material Chemical Compositions having low alloy nickel , chromium, molybdenum case hardening steel generally supplied in the rolled condition with best maximum hardness.  These are more responsive to mechanical and heat treatment than carbon steel.  Alloy steel is flexible during the hardening treatment and thus enabling improvement of core properties. Having high external strength, good internal strength which make highly wear resistant. This grade is commonly supply in Round bar. Highly suited for the various applications which require combination of toughness and wear resistance.
